Waiting on Wednesday - October 15th (a day late!)

Waiting On Wednesday

Hosted by Breaking The Spine

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This weeks's pre-publication "can't wait to read" is :

First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost
Release Date : February 9, 2009

From Author Blog :

The night is not safe for mortals. Denise MacGregor knows all too well what lurks in the shadows - her best friend is half-vampire Cat Crawfield - and she has already lost more than the average human could bear. But her family's dark past is wrapped in secrets and shrouded in darkness - and a demon shapeshifter has marked Denise as prey. Now her survival depends on an immortal who craves a taste of her.

He is Spade, a powerful, mysterious vampire who has walked the earth for centuries and is now duty-bound to protect this endangered, alluring human - even if it means destroying his own kind. Denise may arouse his deepest hungers, but Spade knows he must fight his urge to have her as they face the demon nightmare together...

Because once the first drop of crimson falls, they will both be lost.

No, I don't always post a Waiting On Wednesday. This isn't because I'm not psyched about an upcoming book, it's basically because I don't have the time! I add so many books to my wishlist a week that they just all start to blur together. When it just so happens that a book is coming out from a favorite author...that's when my brain kicks into overdrive. I saw this cover and literally started to say 'ohhhhh ohhh gotta have it!'. I can honestly say that I don't go out and buy every book that I want to read. I do a lot of swapping for books that I want, unless they are from a favorite author. Those are the times that you'll see me pushing my way to grab that last copy off the shelf. This is one of those times.

Come February, you may here of a disturbance in Shippensburg, PA. I'm going to try not to hurt too many innocent bystanders, but if they get in the way of me and this book..there will be problems!

I'm beyond excited for this book but I'll go on record saying that I don't like the cover at all. Considering how swank the covers to her other books are, I'm surprised whoever was in charge of this one pooched it so badly.

Had to laugh about you don't always post. Not sure I could come up with a book every week.
